The End of An Era

fall-2013 (1 of 1)-2

I observed a moment of silence on July 23rd at approximately 6:45 PM PDT.  At that moment, I laid my trusty companion to rest.  No, it wasn’t the passing of the family dog; instead I retired my Motorola cell phone.  It’s served me faithfully for ten years, but all good things must eventually come to an end.

You are probably thinking that I am a little technophobic but that thought would be incorrect.  I would best described as extremely cheap!

I have crossed over to the dark side and now own an Apple iPhone.

Wow! What a jump in technology, Steve! :) Welcome to the dark side! I remember when I got my iPhone, a little over 3 years ago .. I had resisted getting one for all of 2 or 3 ... weeks after they became available at Verizon. I remember telling myself: I don't need one. No point in it, blah, blah, blah, and I've enjoyed having it ever since. :D

Paul, the new phone has certainly increased my options.

I'm very late to the "comment part" here but I use to have a phone very similar to this one and it was a real workhorse -- not surprised it lasted 10 years.

You are probably loving the iPhone but I'd be surprised it you have it 10 years.

Sadly Earl, I think that you are right!
