What The Ground Hog Didn’t See
I can’t speak for old Punxsutawney Phil, but I know what I saw this past Thursday. Sunny skies and the most interesting shadows on the side of my neighbor’s house. Only time will tell if this means six more weeks of winter.
I'm not sure if Phil saw his shadow or not. I think that he's a 'hack'. :) I much prefer your shadow in this photo. I really like the winter shadows a lot. With the sun so low in the sky, it makes for interesting shapes.

I agree Paul, give me a low sun angle and let the shadows begin.
I also much prefer your shadows. :-)
I'd be scared.... vewy, vewy, scared...
It is almost like a scary cartoon character ready to pounce on a sweet critter. Great photo!
I agree Deanna!
Monte, life is good in the shadows.
Phil didn't know what he was missing. This is one of those pictures that stirs the imagination—that is the beauty of shadows, isn't it?
Anita, I'm with you on the shadows for sure.
really does stir my imagination. I'm scaring myself. ha ha.
